About the Author
My name is Vincent Keot, a passionate author of fantasy and urban fantasy , and a long-time role-player.
My journey is intimately linked to the Imagination in all its forms.
I've been reading everything since I was seven, including comics, and I immersed myself in the world of imaginary literature at a very young age: I've never left it. I've always written , filling notebooks specially intended for my stories, which I shared with some of my middle and high school friends. Today, I have piles of notebooks bearing witness to these early adventures.
Yet, I had never really dared to consider writing as a possible path. Until the day a comic book author friend told me that my texts were at least as good as those he saw published, if not better. He invited me to "authorize" myself, to give myself permission to be an author . It was a real turning point.
Since then, I have undertaken this adventure with the desire to create rich and coherent worlds , populated by vibrant human characters , confronting their own shadows to discover and surpass themselves . I am convinced that the exploration of these universes can make deep questions about our own existence resonate in each of us.
With a Master's degree in Modern Literature, specializing in ancient civilizations (because I'm a Smurf with glasses as well as a geek), my passion for history and mythologies from around the world fuels each of my creations. Whether in my fantasy novels, my urban fantasy stories, or my role-playing games around a table with friends, I seek to offer an immersive experience where the human always remains at the heart of the adventure.
My founding values are hope , discovery and sincerity.
Hope , because I aspire to offer stories that show that, even in the darkness, light is possible . Discovery , because I like to invite you to explore my worlds and allow you to find reflections of your own path . Sincerity finally, because I am committed to offering you careful stories , crafted with rigor and respect , so that each reading is a true encounter .
Finally, when I'm not writing or taking my readers on a journey, you'll find me on the tatamis: I practice karate, as well as other martial arts like qi gong, tai chi, and I'm preparing to discover bokator.
Because, after all, every fight is also a quest for oneself .
